Purpose: 

To establish a policy that is reasonable in ensuring that VET students are not penalised unfairly in scenarios relating to their withdrawal from study.

Scope: 

This policy applies to all students enrolled in one or more VET units of competency.

Statement: 

Students who wish to discontinue study must submit a Course Withdrawal Form or a Unit Withdrawal Form.  Only withdrawal forms that have all details completed shall be accepted.  The date this form is received shall be the base date in calculating any refund that may be due.

Students shall be eligible for a full refund on any student contribution made for any unit of competency that has a commencement date after the withdrawal form was received.

Students shall be ineligible for a refund on any student contribution made for any unit of competency that has a commencement date on or before the date the withdrawal form was received.

Students withdrawing from a VET course or unit of competency shall not be charged a withdrawal fee.
