Course Management Policy - VET

Background: 

The Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 include clause 4 of standard 5 requiring that “Where there are any changes to agreed services, the RTO advises the learner as soon as practicable, including in relation to any new third party arrangements or a change in ownership or changes to existing third party arrangements”.

Purpose: 

To mandate timely communication with affected learners and students where there are any changes to agreed services.

Scope: 

This policy applies to all College staff managing VET students and courses.

Statement: 

The College shall advise VET students/learners as soon as practicable:
 

  • when there are any changes to agreed services,
  • when a decision has been made to cease providing a course of study/training package in which they are enrolled,
  • when government funding arrangements change for any course of study/training package in which they are enrolled,
  • when there are any new third party arrangements or a change in ownership or changes to existing third party arrangements.
