Industry Engagement Procedures - VET

Purpose: 

To establish the responsibilities for ensuring that the College is engaged with industry in the training and assessing of VET units of competency.

Scope: 

These procedures apply to the VET Co-ordinator, and VET Trainers and Assessors.

Statement: 

Responsibilities of the VET Co-ordinator

  • At least every six (6) months gather insight into industry by consulting with trainers who have recently delivered training and assessors who have conducted assessment.
  • During each calendar year engage with at least two industry agents for each industry relevant to the College’s VET training packages.

Responsibilities of the VET Trainers and Assessors

  • All VET trainers and assessors are to remain engaged with the industries related to the units of competency in which they train and/or assess.
  • At least every six (6) months discuss with the VET co-ordinator any feedback from industry.
