Background: 

As an Academic Institution there are special options for the provision of copyright material that are not always known to staff. This policy is created to explain that the College will educate and maintain systems to ensure copyright compliance is not breached.

Purpose: 

This policy outlines how the College will ensure it complies with Copyright law in its use and provision of copyrighted materials.

Scope: 

This policy applies to all academic staff.

Statement: 

The College will comply with all requirements for copyright.

The College will establish and maintain a repository of material to be transmitted electronically that allows academic staff to ensure they do not breach copyright requirements.

The College will provide the required copyright notices at each scanner.

All copyrighted material to be transmitted electronically will have the required copyright notices included by the person copying the material.

The College will train all staff in the requirements of copyright ompliance.
