To give clear guidelines as to the College stance in regard to children on campus.

Fit and Proper/Responsible Persons Policy

This policy and procedure is required to ensure that personnel recruited to key administrative positions in the College, or to the Governing Board of the College. are fit and proper persons to conduct their delegated responsibilities within the College.

The policy and procedure is also required to ensure ongoing compliance with Chapter One, Provider Registration Standards of the Higher Education Standards Framework.

To outline staff leave entitlements.

Legislative Awareness Policy

To ensure that all staff and students are kept informed of all relevant legislation.

Legislative Awareness Procedures

These procedures support the Legislative Awareness Policy and assign responsibilities to specific positions in order that the College implements its Legislative Awareness Policy.

Mental Health Strategy and Implementation Plan

Eastern acknowledges that good mental health is important to students’ academic success as well as to their general well-being – as it also is for our faculty and staff. With this in mind, and in response to Recommendation 8 of the Higher Education Standards Panel, Eastern has developed a Strategy to provide a sustainable approach to mental health promotion, protection and intervention for all College students and employees.

Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Policy Thursday, 20 May, 2021

To outline what behaviours constitute sexual assault or sexual harassment and to set out how the College will respond to incidents.  The policy also provides a framework for providing a safe environment for students and staff in relation to incidents of sexual assault and sexual harassment.

Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Procedure

To outline how persons can report SASH incidents, the support a person who reports SASH incidents will receive; and processes for responding to and preventing incidents of SASH.

Social Media Policy

To provide appropriate guidelines for staff use of social media.

Time in Lieu Policy

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that:

  • All supervisors and staff have an understanding of the use of time in lieu arrangements in the College.
  • All supervisors and staff are aware of the procedures for time in lieu.
  • All staff are treated consistently.
