Parallel Teaching Policy

This policy is necessary to ensure that:

  • The content of units which are intended to be delivered in a parallel teaching format adequately addresses the content needs of different levels of the AQF;
  • The teaching and learning arrangements for the post graduate students, in particular, are acknowledged and addressed; and
  • The assessment requirements of students studying at different levels of the AQF are in accordance with their relevant AQF levels.
Processes for students who fail to satisfactorily complete the National Literacy and Numeracy tests

This guideline defines how the College will handle different student cohorts in current and future Initial Teacher Education Units, and different points of admission when a student fails to satisfactorily complete the National Literacy and Numeracy tests by December 31 in the first year of enrolment or after attempting 48 credit points of study, whichever is the later.

Publications Policy

To provide a framework for the College which promotes scholarship through publications.

Quality Improvement Survey Policy

This policy specifies the surveys the College conducts, or participates in, for the purposes of Quality Improvement.

Research Conduct and Responsibilities

To identify best practice in the conduct of research by the College and to note the responsibilities of key stakeholders.  

Research Encouragement Scheme Committee Terms of Reference

To administer the Research Encouragement Scheme.

Research Ethics Policy Monday, 16 November, 2015

To outline the permissible types of research, key processes to be followed by researchers and important safeguards that must be in place for a research activity to be approved by a Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC).

Research Framework

This framework:
1. Presents a definition for ‘research’
2. Defines those characteristics which exemplify excellence in research
3. Demonstrates how research is to be integrated into the mission of the College
4. Clarifies responsibility for research.
